Good news: Power has been restored to the South Elementary School and therefore the South will be OPEN on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, following a regular schedule.
The South School Sharks recently recognized the November S.H.A.R.K. Students of the Month. These students (pictured here) have consistently displayed the South School S.H.A.R.K. principles of being safe, hard working, accountable, respectful, and kind. Congratulations!

South School 4th graders had a State Fair at the end of the school year where students made dioramas, maps, and slideshows to share facts and information about the states they researched. Many students also dressed as a notable resident from their state. It was an impressive display and the students did a great job presenting! South School second graders celebrated the end of the school year with a "Poetry Slam", with each student presenting a poem they had written. The poems represented all sorts of different styles, including couplet, diamante, haiku, quatrain, limerick, free verse, and alliteration. The students did a great job!
