The SPS Week Ahead compiles a list of some of the events taking place throughout the district as well as some important reminders.
Last Day of School is June 17 (June 18 for the South School)
It is hard to believe that this is the last full week of the school year! Next Monday, June 17 is the last day of the 2023-2024 school year (except for the South School). The last day of school is also an early release day.
The last day for the South School is Tuesday, June 18. Both June 17 and June 18 will be early release days for the South School.
As a reminder, here are the school hours for early release days:
SHS & OMS - 7:35am - 11:32am
Elementary Schools - 8:30am - 12:20pm
Preschool - 8:30am - 11:00am (No afternoon preschool session)
As is the case with other early release days, lunch will be served.
Special Election for New Elementary School Building Project
The special election for the new elementary school building project is this Tuesday, June 11, 2024. Polls are open from 7am-8pm. Schools will be open and students still have classes. Where many of our schools are polling locations, please keep in mind that voters may not be aware of the drop off and pick up procedures at each school. Fall Sports Info Night at SHS
Join the SHS Athletics Department TONIGHT, Monday, June 10 at 6pm in the Stoughton High Auditorium for a High School Sports Information Night as well as a chance to meet the fall coaches. They will cover all the important information for parents/guardians for high school sports as well as have individual sports information meetings with the sports specific coaches for fall (except for cheerleading - they have already met). End of the Year Ceremonies
There are many moving up/moving on end of the year ceremonies this week for preschool, kindergarten, and grade 5. The O'Donnell Middle School also has its Grade 8 Class Day & Promotion Ceremony this Friday. For more details, check your school's calendar/messages from your school. Congratulations to all of the students being celebrated this week!
Summer Programming
The athletics department will be offering two programs for athletes this summer: A weight room training time and a turf conditioning time. These programs will run July 8-August 2 and are open to all students entering grades 9-12 in the fall. The cost is $10. Click here for more information and to register.

Bus Registration Period Now Open
Attention Stoughton Public Schools families looking for bus transportation for the 2024-2025 school year: The registration period for bus transportation for 2024-2025 is now open and runs through Friday, June 28, 2024. The registration form is available on the PowerSchool Parent Portal. Click here for more information and for instructions on how to register. Registration for Next School Year (2024-2025)
Attention families with students entering preschool or kindergarten in September, or with a student entering grades 1-12 who did not attend the Stoughton Public Schools this school year: The Stoughton Public Schools online pre-registration portal for next school year (2024-2025 school year) is now open. Please visit our Central Registration Office website for more information about the pre-registration process.
